Xerez Club Deportivo is a Spanish football team from Jerez, Andalusia. Founded on September 24 1947, they currently play in Segunda División. Its reserve team is Xerez B, currently playing in Tercera División.

Its stadium, Estadio Municipal de Chapín, was inaugurated July 10, 1988, replacing the old Estadio Domecq. The first match in Chapín was a friendly match against Real Madrid.

More recently, Xerez have been competing near the top of the Segunda División and they are one of the favourites for being in La Liga next season.

Founded in 1947, Xerez played its first Segunda División campaign in 1953-54, but its best year may have been 2001-02, the year after its most recent return to the Segunda. During that year, the club seemed poised to make the leap to La Liga -- having never before competed in First Division play -- but faded toward the end of the season.
