- ^ Libby Lenton swam a 52.99 in the leadoff segment of a mixed 400 meter Freestyle Relay event at the 2007 Duel in the Pool in Australia. Published reports indicate that FINA has refused to ratify this record because the Mixed 400m Freestyle Relay is not a recognized FINA event. This indication is sufficient to conclude the record will not be ratified.
- ^ FINA's website incorrectly lists this date as September 11, 2004. The actual date, as shown in the results, is October 11, 2004, during the Short Course Championships in Indianapolis.
