William K. Boardman

William Knight Broadman (born 1915) is a United States politician, a Republican from Alaska, best know as a Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives.

Born in Iowa Boardman is a resident of Ketchikan, Alaska. An insurance businessman, he served as a member of the Territorial House of Representatives from 1st District (1953-1954) and an Alaskan alternate delegate to the 1956 Republican National Convention.

In 1961 he was elected to the Alaska House of Representatives, where he served until 1970. From 1967 to 1968 he was the 4th Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives (his preceedessor, Democrat Mike Gravel retried to seek office of a U.S. Representative from Alaska, but he lost and later became U.S. Senator.

Boardman is a methodist.
