[edit] Production

War, Inc. was filmed in Bulgaria beginning in late October 2006 and is in post-production. Marisa Tomei and Cusack's sister Joan co-star in the film. The film will most likely be released in 29 May 2008, or in January (USA) and it was rumored to premiere at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, but it is not in the announced list of films for the festival.

[edit] Plot

Cusack plays an assassin assigned to kill a Middle East oil minister, his cover being that he's producing a large trade show that includes a wedding between a young, provocative Central European pop star named Yonica and a Politico. Unfortunately, complications ensue when things do not go as planned for the assassin. The film takes place in a futuristic and fictional country called Turaqistan.

[edit] First official trailer and other promotions

The first trailer can be seen here. This trailer was thought to be only a teaser trailer for the film. It starts with Cusack alighting from a plane, and entering a bar, where he is mocked at. He then proceeds to shoot the people at the bar, and the screen transits to show the other main characters. Following this, Duff is shown trying to seduce Cusack on a table, with Duff having a Middle-Eastern accent. She later puts a scorpion down her pants, while the song Holiday from rock group Green Day plays in the background. In late 2007, a new scene was released to the public. This is most likely for promotional reasons.[2]
