Wajid is a city located in the Bakool region of Somalia. Wajid has encountered many problems in the past, with the most recent being the occupation of Wajid by Ethiopian forces in 2006. The worst humanitarian disaster to happen in Wajid was when the city was hit with the most devastating drought in decades.
