Victor Bannerjee

Victor Bannerjee (Bengali: ভিক্টর ব্যানার্জী) is an Indian actor of Bengali descent, working in Hindi, Bengali and English language films. His most notable works have included Kalyug and Shatranj Ke Khiladi. In 1984 he started as Dr. Aziz in David Lean's adaptation of A Passage to India, bringing him to the attention of Western audiences. He has also appeared on Indian television series. Bannerjee has worked for prominent directors like Satyajit Ray and Ismail Merchant.
