IMDb profile

Vicky Cristina Barcelona is the upcoming 2008 film by Academy Award-winning director Woody Allen. The title was announced by "The Hollywood Reporter" on October 19, 2007 [1]. This is Allen's fourth film in a row to be shot outside the United States and his first to shoot in Spain.

As is often the case with Allen's films, not much is known of the film's plot at this early point.

In 2007 there arose a controversy in Spain due to the film being funded with public money: Barcelona's city hall is providing one million euros and the Catalan Regional Government half a million -- 10% of the film's budget.[2]

[edit] Cast

The Spanish actor Joan Pera who has dubbed Allen's voice in his previous movies has a cameo role.[3]
