Jaya Bachchan played role of a village girl which likes to play with childern and never cares about any one.Once on an occasion when Swarop Dutt comes to see her friend for his weeding she with her little friends steals his shoes,later on returns to her while he was on his way to home bare footed.Swarop feels soft corner for her in his heart and asks her mother to beg her hand for her. After marriage Jaya is not changed still runs to river and fields n insists his husband to visit his hometown. Story moves on with her brilliatent performance and in end Swarop gets success to transform her from a childish girl to a sensible husehold.
