The film yet to be titled will be directed by debutant director, Tarun Mansukhani who has assisted Karan Johar since his debut. Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol have been confirmed to star in the film.

Saif Ali Khan was initially offered John Abraham's role but he refused citing date problems. [1] Abhishek Bachchan was the first cast member to be signed to the film. [2] Aishwarya Rai was considered to play the female lead but when she refused the role was passed to Chopra. [3] According to Karan Johar, "Abhishek and John play the male leads, while Bobby has a very special role". [4]

Manish Malhotra will be designing the look for Chopra whilst Aki Narula will design the look for the male leads. [4] Vaibhavi Merchant will be choreographing for the film.[5]
