The current official logo for Universal Studios Theme Parks
Universal Studios, the film division of NBC Universal, operates a number of theme parks based around the movies it has produced. The original, Universal Studios Hollywood, started by running tours of the soundstages and backlots where filming was underway.
Universal Studios theme parks currently open are:
- Universal Studios Hollywood
- Universal Orlando Resort
- Universal Studios Japan
- Universal Studios Singapore (To be completed by 2010)
- Universal Studios Dubai (to be completed by 2010)
- Universal Studios South Korea (To be completed by 2012)
Universal Studios used to own the PortAventura theme park in Salou, Spain. Since 2004, the park has been owned and operated by the Caixa banking group.
