Location of the municipality and town of Turbaco in the Bolivar Department.
Turbaco is a municipality in the Bolívar department of Colombia. It is about 30 minutes from Cartagena de Indias and is one of Bolivar's most organized municipality. Turbaco is known for its famous "Fiesta de Toros" in December to celebrate the new year. Currently the municipality is undergoing major expansion plans, remodeling, and much more. There is talk about moving Cartagena de Indias' Rafael Nuñez International Airport to Turbaco due to pollution, noise, and crime in its current location in Cartagena de Indias.
