Travis Demers (b. October 25, 1981 in Mt. Kisco, New York) is a Sports Radio Update Anchor in Portland, OR.

Demers was born October 25, 1981 in Mt. Kisco, NY, and graduated from John Jay High School in Cross River, NY in 1999. Demers received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, NY in 2003.

TRAFFIC

Demers worked for Metro Networks, a Westwood One Company beginning in February of 2005, providing traffic reports on KXL-AM, KTRO-AM and KUIK-AM. Demers was the on-camera traffic reporter for KATU-TV for KATU News This Morning with local cut ins during ABC's Good Morning America from March 2006 through August 2007.

SPORTS

At 1080 AM (KFXX) Demers has been a 20/20 sports update anchor, fill in host/producer, and play-by-play announcer beginning in September 2003. Beginning September 4, 2007 Demers took over as morning update anchor weekdays from 6am-noon for network programming.

PLAY BY PLAY

Demers was the radio voice of C.W. Post (NCAA D-II) Football and Basketball from 2000-2003 on WCWP-FM. From 2003-2004 Demers called high school football and basketball games in Astoria, OR for New Northwest Broadcasters. Demers was also the radio voice of the Portland LumberJax of the National Lacrosse League for their first two seasons, 2005 and 2007. He has also filled in calling games for University of Pittsburgh and Montana State University Women's Basketball. In March of 2007, Demers called his first Nationally Broadcast game, the NLL All Star Game at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR for Sirius Sattelite Radio.

TELEVISION PRODUCING

Demers was hired as a proudcer for Comcast SportsNet Northwest in October 2007 to produce and direct their simulcast of "The FAN" weekdays 3-6 PM.
