Transfer (public transit)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Transfer, in the field of public transit, is a ticket that allows a passenger to transfer from one public conveyance to another as part of one trip.
[edit] Obtaining a Transfer
In the United States, one must generally request a transfer as one boards the bus or train. The transfer may be free or require an additional fare, and its use may be time-limited. Different transit jurisdictions may or may not honor each others' transfers.
