Total Guitar is a monthly magazine in the United Kingdom. The magazine is the best selling guitar magazine in Europe.

The magazine is operated by Future Publishing who produce many magazines ranging from the guitar to software. The current editor is Stephen Lawson.

The magazine regularly contains tablature to (Rock, Metal, Folk, country, Rhythm and Blues and Jazz music) songs, reviews of guitar equipment, interviews with various bands or guitarists and tuition tips for guitarists of various skill levels. The magazine also comes with a free CD in each issue that contains backing tracks and demonstration tracks to accompany the magazine's tablature and recently has featured video files for tricky and demanding guitar passages. The magazine has also featured a DVD edition in two of the issues. Although it contains gear reviews, Total Guitar contains fewer articles than competing magazines such as Guitarist and contains much more learning material than most competing magazines. It is generally better suited for novice players than magazines such as Guitarist and Guitar Techniques, which tend to focus more on expensive gear and advanced techniques for an experienced guitarist, rather than on the fundamental aspects of guitar playing that are often focused upon in Total Guitar's novice section.

Ex-Mr. Big Guitarist Paul Gilbert has his own column within the magazine, called School of Shred, though as of Issue 155, he has left the magazine to further pursue his musical career. There have been guest spots from various other legendary guitarists such as Brian Setzer amongst others.

The magazine's current team is: |Editor - Stephen Lawson| |Deputy Editor - Claire Davies| |Music Editor - James Uings| |Production Editor - Lucy Rice| |Staff Writer - Nick Cracknell| |Reviews Editor - Ed Mitchell| |Key Account Manager - Martin Hughes| |Art Editor - Graham Dalzell| |Deputy Art Editor - John Blackshaw|
