Thamizhan (English: Tamil Person) (2002) is a Tamil film directed by Ravichandran. The film stars Vijay, Priyanka Chopra, Revathi, Nassar and Vivek. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by D.Imman. The film was released for Tamil New Year. The film became a flop for Vijay in 2002 becoming second only to Gemini. It is written by director Ravichandran and distributed by London based Tamil language telechannel – Cee I TV.
One high light is that Priyanka Chopra sang a duet with her co-star Vijay.

Surya (Vijay) is a lawyer with right values, who tries to redress things the legal way. His brother-in-law Shakthivel (Nasser), also an upright lawyer, is killed in the process of upholding justice. Surya's sister (Revathy) also meets a pitiful end at the hands of criminals. But Surya refuses to give up. His mission is to make the layman understand his legal rights. The hero's trials and triumphs are told with force in ``Thamizhan.

The film opened big in Tamil Nadu in 2002 and within a week the producers were looking at losses. It was a flop that was a surprise to many people and fans. This film is often considered Vijay's set of flop movies
