Telugu people are an ethnic group primarily located in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India and neighbouring areas such as Pondicherry, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and Orissa (the areas bordering Andhra Pradesh).

Many have emigrated to countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, Mauritius, Fiji, Réunion and Malaysia. In the Americas there are two large associations TANA (www.TANA.org) and ATA (www.ataworld.org).
