[edit] History

TEENick premiered in 2001 and was hosted then by Nick Cannon. When J Boogie started hosting TEENick, in the summer of 2003, the block added a segment called TEENick Spin the Bottle. In 2004, the block was changed back to TEENick.

In late 2004, the preteen-oriented block took over SNICK (the network's long-running Saturday-night program block). SNICK remained as is, with just the TEENick name replacing the SNICK name. At that time TEENick began to play a variety of shows on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Starting with the 2006-07 season, TEENick was reduced to one day (Sundays only) undoubtedly due to the lack of shows and the cancellation of All That. But In February 2007, a new show The Naked Brothers Band premiered in TEENick, and with that, TEENick Saturday Night returned with a new line-up

Staring on December 31, 2007, all of TEENick's current and former programming moved to The N when the network split from Noggin and went to 24-hours. TEENick programming will be on the air during the daytime hours, under the name TEENick on The N.
