Term commonly used in the software internet industry to describe people involved in the creation of an internet business or technology. The term derives from Startup Company. Typically startupers are entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, software engineers, web developers, and others involved in the ground level of a new high tech venture. Most startupers can be found in Silicon Valley, the greater Seattle area, Boston, and Irvine, California.
