Arms granted on July 17, 1783. The arms show in the upper half the arms of the Perm province. The lower half shows a salt well. Soliamsk was the largest producer of salt and magnesium in Russia. Solikamsk means the Kama salts.

Solikamsk (Russian: Солика́мск) is a city in Perm Krai, Russia. It is located at 59°38′36″N, 56°45′0″E. It is the third-largest city in Perm Krai, with 2002 Census population of 102,531. It was founded in 1430.

It is famous for its production of salt, in particular, potassium chloride, which is used as a fertilizer. More than 11000 people work in salt mining, 3000 underground and 7000 above ground. It is also close to a gulag during the soviet times, which is now closed. It was also a 'labor camp'. It is now used as a museum. There is also a museum dedicated to explaining all stages of salt mining and refining.
