Shakalaka Boom Boom is a Bollywood film released on April 6, 2007 starring Bobby Deol, Upen Patel, Celina Jaitley, Kangana Ranaut, Vijay Patil and Anupam Kher. It has music by Himesh Reshammiya.

If the music industry is considered ruthless, manipulative and cutthroat, these terms certainly do not apply to A.J., the most popular singer/composer New York has ever seen. However, if prodigious talent, passion, and attitude are considered synonymous with the music industry, then Reggi fits the bill. Young and hugely talented, he hungers and craves for A.J.'s spot at the top. Into these lives enters two women: the aspiring singer Ruhi and the ambitious P.R. professional Sheena. Ruhi, while she has much professional respect for A.J., she has been wooed and won over by Reggi. Sheena, on the other hand, holds a grudge against Reggi because, while she did a lot for him as a PR, he had rejected her in a personal relationship. As A.J. and Reggi face off against each in a do or die battle, envy and betrayal rear their ugly heads, and talent struggles to survive the onslaught of a carefully orchestrated smear campaign... Music will be the ultimate winner... and loser... in SHAKALAKA BOOM BOOM!

Aj whose dreams of becoming a successful musician in America, India and other parts of the world is being fulfilled at the highest stage. But he is interrupted by a very boastful and condemning musician Reji who assumes he can do allot better than Aj. However Aj attempts to become Reji's friend and helped him faked by assuming and make him feel that he is doing a great job in helping him in writing out his music composition as Reji is sick and must be bed-ridden according to doctors. Two womens happen to caught between the two young mens love, one of a very high character and singer Rohi Parker who would be willing to die for Reji and another named Sheena who would try to do anything to destroy Reji because it is she who got him into the music industry and he radiated his love for her in front of everyone by accepting Rohi as his future girlfriend. Aj happened to be caught one day by Reji when he made a mistake in selling his self out to Reji. But he did not know that this mistake will also leads to his destruction forever. And Reji shall rule the music industry. Shakalaka Boom Boom is the convincing part of music and it will always remain so.
