The District of Setúbal (pron. IPA: [sɨ'tubaɫ] or [sɨ'tubɐɫ]) is located in the Southwestern of Portugal, the District Capital is the city of Setúbal.
It is delimited by the districts of Lisbon and Santarém on the north, the district of Évora on the east, the district of Beja on the south and the Atlantic Ocean on the west.
It has an area of 5064 km², and a population of 789,459 inhabitants.
It is composed by 13 municipalities:
- Northern Setúbal (Península de Setúbal NUTS II Sub-Region)
- Southern Setúbal/NUTS II Sub Region Alentejo Litoral:
