Save America's Treasures is a United States federal effort towards the preservation and protection of American historic buildings, arts, and published works. It works in partnership with other such organizations, including the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the National Park Service, as well as the National Endowment for the Arts, Heritage Preservation, and the National Park Foundation.
Save America's Treasures was created by executive order of the Clinton administration in February 1998 in conjunction with the White House Millennium Council's activities; instrumental in its founding was then First Lady of the United States Hillary Rodham Clinton. Its Honorary Chair is always the current First Lady.
