Santa Cruz is a village-suburb of the Goan state capital of Panaji (also Panjim or Ponjje). It is also the name of a constituency of the Goa Assembly, and is currently (2006) represented by Congress politician Mrs Victoria Fernandes.
The Santa Cruz suburb of Mumbai is named after this village.
sANTA CRUZ IS SURROUNDED BY GREEN FIELDS WITH A HUGE FOOT BALL GROUND IN BETWEEN ALL HOUSES ARE OF TILES AND GIVES A SCENIC BEAUTY AND A GOOD AMBIENCE FOR OUTSIDERS.
