From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Roundabout Theatre Company is the largest non-profit theatre company based in New York City. They own two Broadway theatres (Studio 54 and the American Airlines Theatre) and one Off-Broadway theatre (the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Arts).
Most recently, they produced Broadway revivals of Threepenny Opera, Pajama Game and The Apple Tree. This season they plan to produce a revival of The Ritz and Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George at Studio 54. Pygmalion and The 39 Steps are planned for the American Airlines Theatre. They won a Tony for their 1998 reinterpretation of Cabaret.

[edit] History
The Roundabout was founded in 1965 by Gene Feist and Elizabeth Owens.[1] The Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, which includes the Laura Pels Theatre, is located on West 46th Street in Manhattan. The Center was developed, with financial support from the Steinbergs, "to support its artistic mission of fostering emerging talent in playwriting, performance, and stagecraft."[2]
