Rose Hill Drive is a young American rock power trio. The band is often aligned with other innovators in the revival of traditional hard rock and early metal/psychedelic. Combining hard-driving rock and blues with modern touches and arrangements, they are often described by reviewers as reminiscent of 1970's rock bands Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Cream.

[edit] History
Rose Hill Drive was formed in 2001 in Boulder, Colorado by brothers Jacob Sproul (bass guitar and vocals) and Daniel Sproul (guitar, backup vocals), and high school friend Nathan Barnes (drums).
Rose Hill Drive has done dates with The Black Crowes, The Who, Robert Randolph, Wilco, Queens of the Stone Age, Aerosmith and also performed at Graspop, Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, Red Rocks, Austin City Limits, and the Warped Tour. Rose Hill Drive appeared with Gov't Mule at the Fillmore Auditorium (Denver, Colorado) on February 12, 2005. Daniel Sproul joined Warren Haynes during Gov't Mule's encore to end the night with How Many More Years (How Many More Times). Even Van Halen requested Rose Hill Drive to open for them.
In the summer of 2006, the band played the same stage as The Who at the Wireless Festival in Leeds and the Hyde Park Calling Festival in London. In the fall of 2006 and spring of 2007, Rose Hill Drive has been asked to support The Who on select US dates, and frontman Pete Townshend has spoken of how much he loves the trio's sound.
In the April 2007 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, Rose Hill Drive was named one of the "10 New Artists to Watch" in 2007. In 2007 Rose Hill Drive returned to London to play the Pepsi tent at Hyde Park Calling 2007. During this show they played an extended jam version of Black Sabbath's Fairies Wear Boots.
In May 2007, Rose Hill Drive supported The Who again, in Madrid.
Though influenced by many other hard rock and metal bands from the 70's and 80's, the band reported in Rolling Stone that they are growing weary of being compared so closely to other bands, as they want to be known for their sound, not how much they sound like somebody else.
They also recently played at the Graspop Metal festival in Belgium, June 22-24, alongside top metal bands such as Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne, Heaven and Hell (the recent incarnation of Black Sabbath featuring Ronnie James Dio), Korn, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Lamb of God, and Mastodon, among others.
Their song, “Goal!” is the official anthem for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. [1]
