Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein is a 2001-released Indian musical film, it stars Madhavan, Diya Mirza and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. It is directed by Gautham Menon and it is a remake of his tamil film, Minnale, which had become a blockbuster and also starred Madhavan in the lead.

Cupid's arrow and a lot more strike at Madhav Shastri's (R. Madhavan) when he first has a glimpse of beautiful Reena Malhotra (Diya Mirza). Thereafter he meets her again and finds out that she the bethrothed of one Rajiv, and so he impersonates Rajiv and enters Reena's life. And they both fall in love. Then American-settled Rajiv Shyamrao (Saif Ali Khan), who used to know Madhav from college, comes to India to marry Reena. Reena is shocked to find out that the one she has given her heart out to is a fraud and a fake. Accordingly, she decides not to do anything with him, and let her parents (Maya Alagh and Navin Nischal) go ahead with the arranged marriage with Rajiv (or Sam).
He also confronts Reena, but Reena refuses to have anything to do with him.This devastates Madhav (or Maddy) and he plans to go to America, and start life anew.By the time Rajiv starts preparation for their marriage.But at the time of marriage ceremony Rajiv few times observes that Reena has no excitement and charm for marriage.He then take Reena to a separate room and asks her whether she loves him or Maddy.He insists her to use her method to decide(which was told to her by Maddy).Reena closes her eyes and Maady comes in her thought ,she answers Rajiv that she would not use this method to take any decision of her life from then.
In next scene,Maddy is ready at airport to leave with his friends and his Dad when Rajiv arrives there.Rajiv first reminds him of there fight since college days and tell him that he has married to Reena and she belongs to him now.Madhvan's daddy and friends got upset with it and ask Maddy to send Rajiv away,then Rajiv told him the truth that he hasn't married Reena because she loves you only. Rajiv left the place telling Maddy that fight between them is still not over.Maddy proposes Reena there at airport.Rena agrees and all became happy at the end.
