Raymond Cambefort (born 11 February 1900) is, at age 107, one of the last surviving French veterans of the First World War. As of October 5, 2007, he is one of just three fully verified living WWI veterans residing in France. He currently lives in the Toulouse region. [1][unreliable source?]
Cambefort signed up for service on 28 August 1918, and served until 4 November 1919. Despite the fact he was a French soldier in the trenches, the French government does not recognize him as an official poilu; indeed, he fought less than the official three months needed (exactly during two months and two weeks before the Armistice).
