Ravi Chopra

Ravi Chopra (born September 27, 1946) is an Indian film producer and director. He is the son of legendary film maker B.R.Chopra, nephew of the producer and director Yash Chopra, cousin of the writer and director Aditya Chopra, and cousin of the actor Uday Chopra.

He directed many films in the 1970s and 1980s which included Zameer (1975), The Burning Train (1980), Mazdoor (1984) and Dehleez (1986). He also directed a successful television serial titled Mahabharat which originally aired from 1988 to 1990. After a long hiatus in the 1990s from directing he returned to directing with the television mini-series titled Ramayan in 2002.

His most recent films were the family dramas Baghban (2003) and Baabul (2006). His fothcoming release is Bhoothnath which he will produce but will not direct.
