Ramkrishnan Suryabhan Gavai (born October 30 1929) is the current governor of Bihar. An agriculturist by profession, Gavai has been elected to the 12th Lok Sabha in 1998. Originally from the state of Maharashtra, Gavai, an avid wrestler, has received the National Integration awards for peace and harmony. He is widely travelled and a known social activist.
