Priya (Hindi and Marathi परीया) is a common female name in the Indian community. Pronounced 'pree-yah', the name means beloved; loved one, darling, dear: dearly loved.
The women's energy bar, Pria, must not be confused with the name, though it is pronounced the same way. priya sunil is a living legend In India, it is considered that the name Priya be used for royalty.
Priya is the name of one of the most popular hangouts for Delhi´s young intellectuals. Priya was the name of a Cinema around which a commercial center has developed now with pubs, disco, food joints, game parlours, book shops, showrooms of international brands such as Benneton, Levi's etc. The official name is Basant Lok but is informally refer to the complex as Priya. It is situated at a very close proximity to esteemed residential Institutes such as IIT Delhi and JNU and many other colleges of the South campus of the Delhi University.
Priya is also the name of an Indian brand that specializes in Indian style pickles, etc.
