The Prime Minister of Georgia is the most senior minister within the Cabinet of Georgia of the Republic of Georgia, appointed by the President of Georgia.
From 26 May 1918–18 March 1921, the title of Prime Minister was used; from 18 March 1921–01 February 1923, the title of Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars was used; from 01 February 1923–15 November 1990, the position was abolished; from 15 November 1990–05 October 1995, the title return to Prime Minister; from 05 October 1995–17 February 2004, the title became Minister of State; on 17 February 2004, the title again became Prime Minister.
If Prime Ministers from both before and after the Soviet annexation are included, a total of seventeen people have served as Prime Ministers of Georgia.
