Poznań County is a county (powiat) in western Poland, in Greater Poland Voivodeship. Polish name: powiat poznański. Poznań County is named after the voivodeship's capital city, Poznań, and it includes the area around it, but not the city itself which forms its own separate urban powiat. However the seat and administrative offices (starostwo) of the County are located in Poznań.

Poznań County has a population of 288,012 (as at December 31, 2005), and an area of 1900 km².

Of these, 2 are urban gminas (consisting of just a town), 8 are urban-rural gminas (consisting of a town and its surrounding villages and countryside), and 7 are rural gminas (villages and countryside only). Poznań County is bordered by the following counties (clockwise from the north): Wągrowiec County, Gniezno County, Września County, Środa County, Śrem County, Kościan County, Grodzisk County, Nowy Tomyśl County, Szamotuły County, Oborniki County. It also has the city of Poznań as an enclave.
