Polow da Don (born Polow-Freache Jamal Fincher Jones) is an Atlanta-based music producer who rose to fame in late 2005 and early 2006 through hit singles by artists including Ludacris, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Rowland, Pussycat Dolls, Fergie, and Kelis. He is working on projects with Young Buck, Young Jeezy, Gwen Stefani, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Mýa, Big P (GTP), Riddy Ran, and Kelis among many others. His label, Zone 4 Inc., has several artists already signed, including southern rapper Rich Boy. It has been confirmed on MySpace and in a recent video that his label is a smaller branch of Interscope Records.
Jones attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, but dropped out in his freshman year to pursue his aspirations to be a rapper with the group Jim Crow. Jones was later signed to Sony Records with the group, which released two albums, Crow's Nest in 1999, and Right Quick in 2001. Before becoming a producer, Jones began his career recording at 40 Street Records in Atlanta.
As a Christmas present in 2006, Jones surprised his parents with a 2007 Mercedes Benz S550 for his mother and a 2007 Cadillac XLR for his father. [1]
Jones worked with Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of Pussycat Dolls, on her solo album.
Born in 1978.

[edit] Controversy
During an interview, with hip-hop website allhiphop.com, Polow da Don was asked about his views on being called the “King of White Girls” and only dating white women. Polow had this to say...“King of the White Girls.” I ain't self proclaimed but I run with it. [Laughs] There was a stage in my life where I went crazy with dating white women. I have nothing against black women, but they’re raised differently. White women are raised to respect and serve their men. Black women are taught to question [their men]. Black women look at submission as being weak. White women look at submission as being a woman. And anyone who has a problem with this statement is ignorant. Just look at the divine order: it goes God, man, woman, child.
