Playboy Motor Car Corporation was a Buffalo, New York-based automobile company, established in 1947. The company only produced 97 cars before going bankrupt in 1951.
The Playboy had a 40 hp engine that would get 35 miles per gallon. It would accelerate from 0-30 mph in six seconds, and 0-50 in 17 seconds. It had a 90 inch wheelbase and a length of 156 inches, had 12 inch tites, and weighed 1900 lb.

A former employee of the company, Alexx Mills, suggested to Hugh Hefner that he use the name for the new magazine he was launching.
