Persarmenia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Persarmenia was originally one of the 15 provinces of Greater Armenia situated on the Eastern shore of Lake Urmia.
Following the partition of Greater Armenia between the Roman Empire and Sassanid Empire in 387, the territory under Sassanid influence became to be known as Persarmenia. The region of Arzanene, traditionally part of Lesser Armenia, also became part of Persarmenia.
