Palos is an upcoming series of ABS-CBN which is set to broadcast on January 2008. The series is a remake of a 1962 action film "Alyas Palos".^[1]

“Palos”, a famous character created by the brothers Virgilio and Nestor Redondo which first appeared in Tagalog Klasiks via the komiks serial “Alyas Palos” in 1961. Alyas Palos was a comic serial novel by Virgilio and Nestor Redondo, which was first serialized in Tagalog Klasiks in 1961. Palos was a thief in the night, a kind-hearted felon with an excellent and masterful skill in opening state-of-the art vaults.

The novel was later adapted into the silver screen with an upcoming star, Bernard Bonnin as its lead star. Alyas Palos made Bernard Bonnin a household name and it defined Bonnin’s showbiz career. Palos was serialized eight times with Bonnin being the only Palos. It started with “Alyas Palos” (1962), “Palos Kontra Gagamba” (1963), “Palos: Counterspy” (1966), “Palos Strikes Again” (1986), and “Alyas Palos II” (1982) .^[2]
