Nerdapalooza is a nerd music festival. The first of its kind to invite all genres of the new movement under one roof, Nerdapalooza was scheduled to have its first two day festival in September 2007 at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. Due to funding issues it has since been pushed back to a later date. The creator of the event is John T. Carter, who goes by the handle "hexWarrior" and hosted a Nerdapalooza themed radio show through KRFH, the student-run radio station at Humboldt State University.

[edit] Nerdapalooza Southeast 2007

The most successful Nerdapalooza yet, Nerdapalooza Southeast is a branch of the nerd music festival centered in Central Florida. The show also showcases nerdcore hip-hop over the other "subgenres" of nerd music. On August 25, 2007 at Tim and Terry's in Gainesville, Florida, Nerdapalooza Southeast was the first Nerdapalooza show to be held. Hosting acts like ZeaLouS1, Select Start, and Emergency Pizza Party, it was a charity event. Organized by Rob Tobias.

[edit] Nerdapalooza Beta

Designed as a small show, the performers were Dungeon Master, Josiah the Messiah, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the World's Greatest Ghosts, Category, and Pixelh8. It was sponsored by KRFH and was held in Arcata, California at the Kate Buchanan Room at Humboldt State University on September 22, 2007. Organized by John T. Carter.

[edit] Nerdapalooza UK

Nerdapalooza UK is the United Kingdom equivalent of the American nerd music festival. Like it's United States counterpart, it is also planned to take place in 2008, on a currently smaller scale consisting of only one day rather than two. The venue is currently unconfirmed but will be somewhere in Leeds, UK. The date has been tentatively set for either March 2008 or October 2008, depending on interest, artists available and what venues are available. It is being planned as a charity event and all the artists will be performing for free. Although supported by John T. Carter, the creator and organizer of Nerdapalooza UK goes by the handle "Mister B," who also writes and records his own Nerdcore Rap music.

[edit] Nerdapalooza Southeast 2008

A continuation of the previous show, Nerdapalooza Southeast will once again be organized by Rob Tobias, but John T. Carter moved to Orlando, Florida to help Tobias organize the show there. Scheduled for the summer of 2008, this will also be a charity event.
