Motorvei is the Norwegian term for Motorway.
There are very few motorways in Norway, and most of the motorways is located at the eastern part of the country (Østlandet), and in the larger cities. In Spring 2006 it was, however, decided to accord more money into roads, and this is expected to keep on through the next years. With few exceptions, all the motorways in Norway are European routes, but some is also classified as riksvei (the term used for National roads).
[edit] Speed limits
Norway does not have a default speed for Motorways, but the maximum speed is 100 km/h, and this is usually the speed limit on the Norwegian motorways.
