Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (三菱電機株式会社, Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki-gaisha^?) (TYO: 6503) is a Japanese company based in the Tokyo Building in Tokyo, manufactures electric and architectural equipment, as well as a major worldwide producer of photovoltaic panels. The Corporation was established on 15 January 1921. One of its products is the SCOPO. The Corporation claims (as cited in "References") to have achieved the world's first transmission at 10 Gbit/s between relay equipment boards set at a distance of 500 mm apart.

Mitsubishi Electric is also one of the top five manufacturers of photovoltaics,^[1] competing with Sharp, Kyocera, BP Solar, and Shell Solar.

It is one of the Mitsubishi Group core companies.
