Microsoft Money is Microsoft's personal finance software for computers using the Microsoft Windows operating system. A version is also available for Windows Mobile (available for Money versions 2000-2006, and up to, but not including Windows Mobile 5.0). The latest version, released in August 2007, is called Microsoft Money Plus and has four editions: Essentials, Deluxe, Premium and Home & Business. Since Money 2008, Microsoft has also introduced Product Activation into the product for the first time.

There are versions for the U.S., UK, France, Japan, Canada and an International English edition for other English speaking countries. However, Microsoft has announced that it will not release 2006 editions for the UK, French and International markets. These editions have not been updated since Money 2005. The company has said that it is unlikely to release a version until at least 2008 [1]. The last Canadian version was Money 2006.

In the past, there have been versions for other countries, such as Germany and Italy, but these were discontinued due to what was believed to be an insufficient user base to justify the expense of localization for more recent versions or the expense to integrate support for the national online-banking standard like HBCI in Germany.
