Michael J. Astrue

Michael J. Astrue is the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration. He was sworn in on February 12, 2007 and will serve a 6-year term.

After obtaining his secondary education at The Roxbury Latin School, Astrue has a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard University.
