Maximus Air Cargo is a cargo airline based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It started operations in 2003 and provides outsize and general cargo transport using Antonov An-124, Ilyushin Il-76 and Lockheed Hercules aircraft leased in as required.[1] It is the largest all cargo airline in the UAE and premier operator of outsized cargo aircraft in the Middle East.[2]

The airline was established in 2005 and has 104 employees at June 2007.[2]

Maximus Air Cargo has announced the arrival of an Airbus A300-600F freighter, bringing the fleet to a total of eight aircraft.[3] Its first Airbus A300 was delivered at the end of March 2007 and is operated by European crews. In June 2007 it was placed on contract with Cygnus Air, a cargo airline in Spain. A second aircraft of the same type will join its fleet in October 2007. It owns and operates a total of 8 specialized all cargo aircraft (Antonov AN-124-100, Airbus A300-600RF, Ilyushin IL-76TD and Lockheed L-382 Hercules).[2]
