MTV Roadies

MTV Roadies is a reality television show aired on MTV India. It is currently in its fifth season. The show was created by Raghu Ram and is hosted by MTV India VJ Rannvijay who also won the first season. The maximum prize for winning the show is Rs 5 lakhs.
[edit] Selection Procedure
Auditions are held in various major cities in India. Because of the show's popularity many youngsters give the audition. First they are separated by a group discussion and then the sw many selected ones are verbally auditioned. In the first two seasons seven Roadies were selected. Since then Thirteen Roadies are selected every time. There is no limit as to how many times a person can audition.

The selected Roadies are given Hero Honda Karizma bikes and travel all over India on a pre-decided route. Although season five is the first time When the game goes International.It will travel among three countries i.e. India-Thailand-Malaysia. The Roadies are given tasks at every destination. The tasks are either Money or Immunity tasks. A particular amount of money is decided for a money task in which the roadies have to hard earn their money, however the amount lost is subtracted from the maximum prize. An Immunity task could be team based or individually where the Roadies have to perform certain tasks to get immune from the next vote out. Each week a vote out is committed in which all the roadies have to vote out one of the non-immune Roadies. The one who gets the maximum votes is eliminated.
