Lucinda Ballard

Lucinda Ballard (b. April 3 1906, New Orleans, Louisiana - d. June 19 1993, Los Angeles County, California) was a costume designer who spent most of her career working in the theatre. In that capacity, she won Tony Awards in 1947 and 1962. She made few forays into film work.
She scored an Oscar nomination for Vivien Leigh's and Marlon Brando's costumes in the film version of A Streetcar Named Desire.
Once married to lyricist Howard Dietz, she died of cancer, aged 87, in 1993.
