Love Machine (The Miracles song)

"Love Machine" is a 1976 popular song recorded by The Miracles from their album City of Angels. A Billboard Hot 100 #1 single and a multi- million seller, it was one of two big hits by The Miracles featuring lead vocals by Billy Griffin, who replaced the group's former lead singer Smokey Robinson in 1972. By 1979, the song saw its first cover, this time performed by Thelma Houston. It became became a popular song with club DJ's at the time in the United States, however, it just missed making the charts. In the Far East, especially in Japan, her version of the song received an extremely warm public response. "Love Machine" became her most successful single, where it topped the pop chart there. The success prompted her the album, "Ride to the Rainbow" to be re-titled as "Love Machine" for the Japanese release.

Wham! performed a cover version of "Love Machine" on their 1983 album, Fantastic.
