[edit] Harmony 1000

Harmony 1000 is the most advanced Harmony remote that features a 3.5" color touch screen and is larger than the other remotes in the product range that are meant to be used with only one hand. The Harmony 1000 can control up to 15 devices, via infra-red or radio-frequency, if used with the Harmony RF wireless extender (sold separately). The RF extender can control up to 4 modules, but can be linked to other RF extenders in order to control more modules. The button layout on the Harmony 1000 is customizable as is the background, but the logo screen is not. This universal remote also features a PC interface, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and dock.[3]

[edit] Harmony 890/895

Harmony 890/895 is the second most expensive remote of the product line. It is also the only remote to feature radio frequency (RF) component enabling the remote to control devices even without line-of-sight to and from different rooms up to a range of 30 meters.[4] [5]

[edit] Harmony 880/885

Harmony 880 is one of the most popular Harmony remotes. It was the first Harmony with a color LCD screen and a rechargeable battery. The Harmony 885 remote has extra buttons as mentions below. Most Logitech websites show the Logitech 880 picture instead of the actual Logitech 885. The picture shows the extra keys marked with a circle. The up and down keys under the four direction keys have been replaced with four colour keys used for teletext and more recently by various audio visual equipment. eg. Tata Sky Set-top-box controls.

[edit] Harmony 360

Harmony 360 has special Xbox buttons, X, Y, A, B and media center control button for Xbox. It is pre-configured to be used with the Xbox 360 console. [8]

[edit] Harmony Remote Software

The remote software allows users to update the remote configuration, learn IR commands, and upgrade the remote's firmware.

Early versions of the remote software were browser based only. Newer versions are Java based, but the software still requires constant internet connectivity to work. The software is compatible with Windows and Mac. A group of developers are currently working on Harmony Remote software for the Linux platform[9].
