List of Indian submissions for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film

The Indian Government appoints a committee to choose the best movie released that year, which is sent as India's official entry to the Oscars for a nomination for Best Foreign Film next year. The following is list of such movies:
The years indicate the year the film was submitted by India. The actual Oscar ceremony took place in spring of the following year.
