Ladies and Gentlemen is a forthcoming British television sitcom, written by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain. A pilot is being shown on Channel 4 as part of the Comedy Showcase season on 12 October 2007.
The series is a historical sitcom, set in London in the year 1865. A preview episode was shown to an audience attending a recording of QI, on 14 June 2007. One member of the audience claimied that, "It was described as being a 'bit like Friends' but set in 1865 in olde London town!"[1]
