[edit] History
The airline is based on the original cargo divisions of LAN Chile, Ladeco and Fast Air. It also works closely with the other cargo airlines in the group, ABSA - Aerolinhas Brasileiras, Florida West International Airways and MasAir.[1]
Although LAN Chile S.A. has a minority share in Florida West International Airways, LAN Cargo does not cooperate in any way with Florida West. As, Florida West is an independently operated company that deal with LAN Cargo as it would with any other airline (via interline agreements) with no preference given to LAN Cargo.[citation needed]

Sadly, LAN Airline needs to make enormous improvements to its Customer Relations department. I have been talking with them for one year now in order to obtain a refund for a replacement ticket that my son had to purchase while in Chile. I have gone so far as to contact the Board of Directors and President of the airline just to get Customer Relations to talk to me. Customer Relations has told me both on the phone and through email that my son will receive his refund, but it has not happened. I have been given incorrect phone numbers, incorrect email addresses, and what appears to be empty promises. So I would recommend that people use this airline with great caution.
