Kikuchi (菊池市 Kikuchi-shi?) is a city located in Kumamoto, Japan.

The city was founded on August 1, 1958. On March 22, 2005, the city merged with the municipalities of Kyokushi, Shichijo and Shisui into a new expanded city of Kikuchi. As of December 2006, the city has an estimated population of 52,646 and a density of 190.3 persons per km². The total area is 276.66 km².
